Course Description:
English News Reading introduces events, issues and trends around the world, which help English learners acquire the latest information and knowledge. The language used in news articles forms a rich source of commonly applied vocabulary and expressions. Reading news articles will definitely provide English learners with a good opportunity to enhance their reading skills. Furthermore, the course is designed to introduce cultural and linguistic phenomena such as different journalism genres, journalism ethics and features. English News Reading is an elective course for English undergraduates.
